Smart healthcare and medical devices have become common in clinical everyday use and contribute to the development of personalized approaches for patient treatment. Mathematical models and computer simulations are playing an increasingly important role in biomedicine since they represent a useful tool to complement clinical and experimental work.
This special issue focuses on the development and application of the recent modeling
approaches for the analysis and simulation of biological and engineering systems including biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and related topics.
We are opening invitations to the participants of MCHBS 2021 workshop, and other scientists, to contribute to this special issue by submitting original research articles, perspectives or review articles.
All submitted papers will go through a peer-review process.
For a first screening feasibility, possible contributors are requested to submit an expression of interest by sending a file containing:
- Title
- List of Authors and affiliation
- Abstract (half page)
to the e-mail address workshop2021@biomatematica.it by December 15, 2021.
Since 2013, the Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIMAI) together with the Spanish Society for Applied Mathematics (SEMA), collaborates with Springer-Nature in the handling of a joint series aiming to publish advanced textbooks, research-level monographs and collected works that focus on applications of mathematics to social and industrial problems, including biology, medicine, engineering, environment and finance.
This series is meant to host selected contributions focusing on the relevance of mathematics in real life applications and to provide useful reference material to students, academic and industrial researchers at an international level. Interdisciplinary contributions, showing a fruitful collaboration of mathematicians with researchers of other fields to address complex applications, are welcome. The series is indexed on Scopus and each chapter has its own identifier.
We are opening invitations to the participants of MCHBS2021 workshop to contribute a volume of SEMA-SIMAI Springer series by submitting comprehensive work or review chapters related to the topic.
All submitted papers will go through a peer-review process.
In order to ensure a timely publication of the book, we kindly ask you to tell us if you are willing to
submit your contribution within the next December 15th, 2021 to the email address:
bookmchbs2021@gmail.com.
Then, the submission will be completed by sending the TeX + pdf file to the email address
bookmchbs2021@gmail.com not later than April 30th, 2022.
More information on the Series can be found on https://www.springer.com/series/10532.
